King’s Double Jeopardy
Jobs or King’s, Capital Theatres tells FM:
Capital Theatres has sent a stark warning to First Minister Nicola Sturgeon that without emergency funds it will either have to sack workers or risk the King’s theatre closing for good.
£57m for culture
Another £57m consequentials allocated:
The Scottish Government has allocated a further £57m of the £97m barnet consequentials reserved for the covid-19 response to the cultural sector.
Reopening Date for Theatres
September Date planned for Scottish Theatres:
Scottish theatres will be allowed to reopen with physical distancing in place on Monday 14 September 2020, if plans announced by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon go ahead.

The Scottish government has created a targeted £10M Performing Arts Venues Relief Fund for theatres adversely effected by Covid-19, which will be administered by Creative Scotland.

Creative Scotland will pause applications for emergency £2m Bridging Bursary from 6pm today, Wednesday 2 until Monday 20 April 2020, due to he “significant” number of requests made.
