Lyceum goes dark for remainder of 2020:
The Lyceum is to enter a period of “hibernation” as a building-based producing theatre with immediate effect, postponing all 2020 shows and entering into negotiations with all staff over redundancies.

2015 EdIntFest hit to get free YouTube streaming:
Simon McBurney’s hit show The Encounter for Complicité theatre company, which premiered at the 2015 Edinburgh International Festival, is to get a free online streaming from this Friday, 15 May 2020. It will remain online for a week.
Dogstar Online
Taylor of Inverness first up for Vimeo On Demand:
Dogstar Theatre, the Highlands-based company with a European outlook, is to stream a filmed version of its international hit The Taylor of Inverness as the first show in a new paid-for online presence.
Playhouse dark to July
ATG Venues now closed to June 28 2020:
Venue operator ATG has announced that all its UK venues, including the Playhouse in Edinburgh and the King’s and Theatre Royal in Glasgow will be closed at least until 28 June 2020 due to Covid-19.

Smash hit musical The Book of Mormon has announced new dates for Edinburgh Playhouse and will now run for a long fortnight from Wednesday 9 to Saturday 26 June 2021.
