Desire Lines Late Call
Tickets released for sold-out event
A small number of extra tickets and returns have been released for the Desire Lines event at the Scottish Storytelling Centre tonight, Wednesday 28 September 2016.
Desire Lines is an independent organisation set up in late 2014 to start an Edinburgh-wide conversation about the cultural and creative future of the city. It’s first aim was to coordinate public input to the Edinburgh Council’s cultural strategy.
It has evolved into a project, which: “aims to show our pride in the city and use the collective imagination of people who live in Edinburgh and of those who love it, to develop the city’s cultural direction for the better.”
Tonight’s event is part of its call to arms: “We want to hear from you”, although it includes major contributions from major players in the city’s cultural map.
Tonight’s event starts at 5.45pm, running to 9pm, with contributions from Lady Susan Rice, chair of the council’s Culture Task Group, Paul Lawrence, Director of Place at the City of Edinburgh Council and Shona McCarthy, chief executive of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society.
Tickets are available by contacting the Scottish Storytelling Centre direct on 0131 556 9579 or by emailing: reception@scottishstorytellingcentre.com
The event will be live streamed through the Creative Edinburgh Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/CreativeEdinburgh/
