Playhouse getting to know hit musical again
The multi award-winning Broadway production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I will return to the Edinburgh Playhouse in September 2023.
Tickets are on general sale (here), for the week long run of the show, from Tuesday 12 to Saturday 16 September 2023. Prior to that, the tour is visiting the Glasgow King’s Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 May. Tickets here.

This is director Bartlett Sher’s Lincoln Center Theater production, which previously visited the Playhouse in October 2019, when our reviewer said “This production of The King and I is one that deserves to be remembered for years to come” (★★★★★ Fit for a King).
