FCT get X Factor
FCT old-girl is last Scot in X-Factor
The last Scot left on ITV’s X-Factor is Caitlyn Vanbeck, who has been a member of Forth Children’s Theatre for the last two years.
The 17 year-old from Tranent is now looking to get through the “six chair challenge” in the show which airs tonight (Sunday 4 October 2015) at 7pm.
FCT’s Chairman, Mark Gorman, told Æ: “Everyone at FCT are beside themselves with excitement and rooting for her tonight.”
Vanbeck battled through the bootcamp section of the popular contest to reach the last 16 in the girls category.
Vanbeck played society hostess and singer Muzzy Van Hossmere in FCT’s production of Thoroughly Modern Millie in April this year, with her “suitably strong voice” being mentioned by Hugh Simpson in his review.
She was also in the cast for fringe 2014’s five star production of Les Miserables and Easter 2014’s production of Hairspray.
Now studying to be primary school teacher, she won Edinburgh’s Got Talent in 2011.
