Carole King Musical confirms 2020 dates
Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, is to play the Edinburgh Playhouse and Glasgow King’s in May 2020 with tickets going on general sale for both venues from Friday 14 June 2019 at 10am.
The show is on a UK tour in 2020, opening in Bromley in January and currently booked through to Nottingham in June. For full details and ticket links for all venues see listings below.

Last in Edinburgh in 2017 – when it knocked our critic Martin Gray’s socks off (★★★★★ Oh Carole) – the show has a couple of Oliviers and Tonies to its name, not to forget a Grammy for best musical theatre album.
Long before she was Carole King, the music legend with 118 Billboard top 100 hits and 61 UK chart hits to her name, she was Carol Klein from Brooklyn, an ordinary girl with an extraordinary talent.
Beautiful – The Carole King Musical tells the true story of her rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history.
soundtrack to a generation
Along the way, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation, including one of the best-selling albums of all time, Tapestry, and classics such as (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman, Take Good Care of My Baby, You’ve Got a Friend, So Far Away, It Might as Well Rain Until September, Up on the Roof and The Locomotion.
Beautiful – The Carole King Musical plays Aberdeen, His Majesty’s, in January 2020, arriving in Edinburgh on Tuesday 5 May for a week and then on to the Glasgow King’s for a week from Tuesday 26 May.
