Theatres get re-opening date

Theatres and live music venues will have a limited reopening from Monday 14 September 2020, according to plans announced by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon in Holyrood today, Thursday 20 August.

Grid Iron pull planned live performances:
Edinburgh’s Grid Iron has abandoned plans for live outdoor performances of Doppler, pencilled in for later this August. The show will now be presented in digital format.

Aladdin takes magic carpet to 2021:
The Brunton Theatre has announced that its planned 2020 pantomime, Aladdin, will now take place in 2021 due to social distancing measures because of Covid-19.
