Rising costs and low ticket sales have forced the Musselburgh Amateur Musical Association to postpone its planned revue, the M.A.M.A Spotlight Awards at Portobello Town Hall.

Young grassroots company Court Jester Theatre give an entertaining take on Oscar Wilde’s novel The Picture of Dorian Gray in a nicely twisting new version which isn’t precious about its vocabulary.
Chicago razzles back
Playhouse dates for Feb 2024
The latest UK tour of Chicago has announced new venues, including a week at both the Edinburgh Playhouse (Tue 4 – Sat 8 Feb 2025) and the Glasgow Kings (Mon 18 – Sat 23 Aug 2025).

Class Act: Ukraine Edition
Special Ukraine version of Trav’s flagship engagement project
The Traverse has announced a week-long version of its flagship schools engagement project, Class Act, working with young Ukrainians from across Scotland to create plays to be performed script-in-hand on Saturday 13 April 2024.
All Who Wander

The Edinburgh University Footlights Showchoir just about knock it out the park with All Who Wander, their latest portmanteau show of musical theatre numbers, at the Magnusson Centre in the Edinburgh Academy to Saturday.
King’s redevelopment latest
King’s Theatre upgrade approaches half way
The major redevelopment of the King’s theatre has reached the halfway mark, with the project nearly 50% complete according to Capital Theatres, the charity which runs the building.
Brunton Bistro closes
RAAC closure does for The Bistro at The Brunton
The popular Bistro at the Brunton, has closed – having initially survived the theatre going dark just over a year ago on March 15 2023, following the discovery of crumbling concrete above the performance spaces.
