Birds of Passage in the Half Light, a one-hander by Kat Woods and performed by Fiona McGeown, deals with trauma and darkness. The presentation is uneven at times, but it draws the audience in.

Some Kind of Theatre bring their touring production of The Grandmothers Grimm back to the Fringe for a two week run at Riddle’s Court. Originally conceived for the Edinburgh Horror Festival in 2017, the piece has since toured the UK.

Part of the Laughing Horse Free Festival, The Wheel Of Misfortune is a horror-comedy which gives a bizarre account of various creepy tales, think Goosebumps tinged by The League of Gentlemen.

Broadsword Theatre’s Contact has a vitality that overcomes its drawbacks. At Greenside @ Infirmary Street for one week only, the play is a tonal mish-mash that nevertheless has substantial appeal.
