There are plenty of laughs to be had in the production of Abigail’s Party which finishes an extensive UK tour this week at the King’s. Not surprisingly, many of them are laughs of embarrassment.

Joy Adamson and the lion Elsa, immortalised in the film Born Free, where the figureheads of African wildlife conservation in the 1960s, changing public opinion towards big cats as animals to be nurtured rather than shot.

The minute you walk in the joint, you can see Sweet Charity at the Church Hill Theatre until Saturday, is a show of distinction.
