Production Team Call-Out
EMT seeks creative team for EdFringe 2018:
Edinburgh Music Theatre has put out an open call for a creative team to work on its forthcoming 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival productions.
Footloose
★★★☆☆ Nostalgic:
There are some decidedly impressive production numbers in the Bohemians’ production of Footloose at the King’s. Add in some excellent singing and you have a show that will please a lot of people with fond memories of the 1980s.
How to Act
★★★★☆ Multi-faceted:
How to Act, the National Theatre of Scotland’s acclaimed production, is intriguingly named. There are shades of meaning behind that phrase, dealing with the expectations of society as well as the actor’s craft – coupled with a hint of know-it-all prescription.
Heaven Burns the Roxy
McGregor wins 2018 Assembly Roxy Theatre Award:
Edinburgh-based playwright Jen McGregor has won this year’s Assembly Roxy Theatre Award for her script Heaven Burns, which will now be staged at the Roxy during this year’s Edinburgh fringe.
Matilda for Playhouse
2019 date for Matilda the Musical:
Smash hit show Matilda the Musical has been booked for the Edinburgh Playhouse in 2019 as part of its extended UK tour, which has just started at the Leicester Curve.

Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women gets a sensitive and thoroughly entertaining musical theatre adaptation at the Assembly Roxy from new Edinburgh amateur company Shoots Theatre.
