The Wonderful Story of Mother Goose
★★☆☆☆ Not enough zip:
There is plenty to enjoy in St Serf’s Players’ take on one of the oldest pantomimes of all, The Wonderful Story of Mother Goose. However, despite some pleasing traditional elements, it is missing that sparkle of fairy dust that makes panto so enjoyable.

The Crucible

Leitheatre has made a bold and audacious stroke in its production of The Crucible, using a contemporary setting for Arthur Miller’s great allegory for the anti-communist hysteria in 1950s America.

Big ensemble numbers, some high-kicking choreography and a clutch of stellar solo vocal moments ensure that Gang Show 2017 hits all the expectations for a grand night out.
