Company
★★★★★ Side by Side by Eusog:
The ups and downs of Seventies singledom in New York in Stephen Sondheim’s Company make for an unmissable Fringe show for aficionados of musicals at Paradise in Augustine’s.
Improbable Fiction
★★★★☆ Varieties of fun:
Edinburgh Theatre Arts are not the only group presenting Alan Ayckbourn this year. While other productions may be more high-profile, it is unlikely they will be much more fun than this production of Improbable Fiction at St Ninian’s.
The Shakespeares – Scenes From a Marriage
★★★☆☆ Yesteryear once more:
Storyboard Theatre’s The Shakespeares – Scenes from a Marriage goes over the well-trodden ground of the private life of that writer from Stratford. Even if nothing new surfaces, there is enough interesting acting to hold the attention.
Double Feature
★★★★☆ Double the Laughs:
Powerhouse double act Andy Gray and Grant Stott bring all their comic knowhow to bear on Double Feature from Gilded Balloon at the Rose Theatre.
