As the fallow summer period approaches – ahead of the glut of the Fringe in August, there is time to take note of some of the smaller productions coming our way.

Hit children’s show Hey Duggee is to tour the UK in a vibrant and interactive stage show that will come to the Edinburgh Festival Theatre from Fri 27 Sun 29 January, 2023 and the King’s Glasgow Thurs 25 – Sat 27 May 2023.

Equity breakaway set to Rise Together
Cairn, a new professional association for performance workers and allied trades in Scotland with the slogan “rise together”, has been launched today, Friday 24 June 2022, in Glasgow.
Leithers Live – the Custom House Play

The Citadel Arts Group sketch out the history Leith as seen through the women folk of one family in this clever piece of promenade drama which plays through the rooms of the Leith Custom House for four performances only.
Another un-fine Covid mess
Lyceum cancels performances of Laurel and Hardy
The remaining six performances this week of Laurel and Hardy at the Lyceum have been cancelled due to an incidence of Covid 19 in the company.
Austen rom-com returns
Pride and Prejudice* (*Sort Of) sets Scottish dates
The Olivier award winning production of Pride and Prejudice* (*Sort Of) is returning to Scotland this Autumn with three weeks at the Royal Lyceum followed by a week at the Glasgow King’s.

Covid blow to King’s final show
Covid-19 has caused the remaining performances of Sunshine on Leith at the Edinburgh King’s to be cancelled, from today, Tuesday 14 June 2022.
